Using a bit of time travel to post this a little late, here is my Summary of Art for 2021. I wish I had fewer months with just sketching, but it hasn't been the best year.
Here's to drawing more in 2022, and usual, thanks to AsterianMonarch for the template!
This started out with just wanting to practice those perspective grids I see professionals use in animation, and I ended up adding a bit more detail. I think the grids were very useful - I'm very happy with how this turned out. Still not 100% sold on the Inspector's design, but it's getting there.

Day 4 of my world-building NaNoWriMo challenge - assign stories to Hayori's scars! Admittedly I used up a bit of time drawing this instead of brainstorming, but it was fun! And now, I'm going to quite enjoy the rest of my task.

I started a new Photoshop file for sketches since my last one was getting slow to load with like 120 layers. I had to break it in, so I doodled some art for The Phoenix Quill.
We recently had a conversation about how we would avoid letting our characters figure out we are the narrator if we were in our stories. I thought I would blend in well with my mysterious travelers, but someone told me Ren would have a Narrator Sense like Spider-Man because of how much trauma I have caused him. And they were right.

One more Chickenpaint drawing before hitting the ol' Photoshop again. I was very pleased with Chickenpaint this time around. Everything went absolutely smoothly, my pen pressure wasn't broken, and for the first time in my life, I didn't even have to use the line stabilizer. I may reappear in the Chickensmoothie Oekaki sooner than usual next time.

Every year I return to Chickensmoothie and play on the Oekaki for a few days. This was an old unfinished sketch I had saved, so I polished it up and finally finished it! I think this is the first time I've drawn Macy in her new suit. And I'm killing her off already. I'm sure she'll walk it off.

Finally done with revenges, so I get to attack for once! I really enjoyed this attack! I don't get to do any kind of landscapes often so I need a lot of practice, and I'm really happy with the mountains and sky. Hermees for mscreated.

I did a little piece for Imperialist's awesome entry in T. Alex Ratcliffe's character design contest for Battle Games to test out my new tablet. She won 2nd place and was fun to draw! The last tablet broke while I was finishing the video game, but luckily I collect tablets for this very reason and pulled out one of my backups. Turns out this one was actually a step up.

My final project for a coding class, a fully-functional video game using Processing. I did all the art for it and taught myself pixel art at the same time!
In essence, you are a cat. You must go through your day, and do your little cat things. Smack the glass of water. Destroy the houseplant. Fight Cthulhu. Your goal: mild torment to all.

The semester is almost over, and I decided to force in some drawing despite my schedule after a very difficult week that included a panic attack and a nearly three-night all-nighter. Still, I did a couple of doodles of my EQ2 characters, Knuckles and Slice (and Meowmocha's character Feera!). As well as quick headshots of Ren and Hayori. I don't think I've drawn Ren in a quite a while, surprisingly. He's finally smiling!
Sometimes it's a good thing to take a break and draw someone punching a shark.

Rico finally has some kind of reference, The Wanderer now has more than just a reference, and I completely redesigned my very, very old Black Butler OC now that I've reread the series. Now on to more important work.
