 Had to go straight to the angst!! This took far longer than it should have, especially for Elodie not turning out that good. This is based on the Twins at the Carousel by Kikuo trend, with a cover by stxrbunny on TikTok.

Comic - Magic Kaito Redraw

 I'm finally able to show my page for the Magic Kaito Redraw on Tumblr after months of secrecy! This is page 148, in chapter 5: The Underwater Pirate Ship. It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad I was able to participate in this project. You can read the whole thing here!

Vine Animatic - Is that a WEED?!

 Managed to finish an entry for the PaperDemon vine event. Callahan catching flak from Magenta (he's innocent this time!). Magenta belongs to timefliesaway. I really need to finish some actual relevant art instead of playing on PaperDemon, though.

Animation - Gold Rush

 Three seconds of animation should not take as long as this did... But I finished! And I'm happy with it! So that makes it worth it. And I also got to practice with After Effects to great effect.

Art - Collateral Damage

 My entry for PaperDemon's Draw Together event, a beach day with sponsored Adventurer's Guild merchandise. I ended up doing a lot more than I had planned. The included characters are SuzuSecrets's Aiedaeil, Tarou's Mori, timefliesaway's Cynthia, Joshiepopop's Mister Pickpocket, and plumbeach's Plum.

 My most tragic character, la vaguelette herself, Elodie Allaire. There is no happy ending for her; she was doomed from the start. Had to get this posted while I'm still riding the fame and follower count from my featured piece, haha!

Art - Flying Too Close to the Sun

 Finally finished a scene of an ending I was super hyped about when I thought it up a few weeks ago, but then I had a few days to think about it, and now I'm not so sold on it but I had already started the drawing. I haven't scrapped the scene, but it's on the shelf with the other endings. My Oekaki gallery is very quickly becoming a whump gallery.

Edit; This piece was featured on the front page! I remember when I thought I would never have a featured drawing, and now I have three. Chickensmoothie is where I started my journey 11 years ago, and I've come so far.

Sketches - Depressed Detective and his Unpaid Assistant

 I decided to suck it up and use the Oekaki despite it being glitchy with Windows Ink because I love it and I missed the pen tool. And I wanted to draw a bunch of Zhihao and Rico. Bonus Kaitou Kid and unspecified Aisha because I got tired of Zhihao and Rico.

Sketch - The Things We Lost in the Fire

 This one has been in the works since August, but I've only now gotten around to finishing it. Another picture of Rico in distress - will he ever be happy? I'm satisfied with it overall, but it could definitely be improved. I just wanted to be done with it.

Edit; This piece got featured on the front page and has now earned over 450 likes, beating my record by a long shot! I have officially broken 400 likes on one piece!

Sketches - Profile Practice

 I have always struggled with profile angles. It turns out there is literally a well-known method involving triangles that apparently everyone knew but me?! I gave it a try, and just like that, I can draw profiles. Not perfect yet, but wow! What an improvement.

Ethan Becker's video discussing it helped a lot.

Sketch - How to Kill an Immortal

 Actually sat down and worked on something for once. This was just something I've had in my head for a while and wanted to get down on paper. I'm still working on using stronger contrast, but I feel like I went too far this time. My composition could also use some work.

Sketch - Wasn't it Not Worth It?

Took a spin on my "new" tablet that a friend gave me a year or so ago. I finally bought the pen it was missing. It has a screen and it's very nice, but it's much different than the basic Wacom tablets I've been using my whole life so it takes some getting used to.

Anyway, I decided to do a nice, simple sketch on the Oekaki. I think this is the first time I've drawn Rico. I'm happy with it!
