A BlueSky art trend that's going around that I thought looked fun. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it and I had to dig into some older art for the warmer colors, but it turns out I've used more colors than I thought!

Jumped ahead in the PaperDemon intro tasks to do the weekly character development prompt, drawing your character in a newspaper headline. I decided the boy-steals-flowers meme was fitting. Callahan doesn't understand private property. And with it posted, I finally have enough XP to put links in my profile. Now I can make it look pretty!

My first character development prompt for PaperDemon, a talisman for Callahan. I decided to delve into the pouch he keeps around his neck. I never thought I would actually design Aelar, let alone put effort in. Overall I'm surprisingly satisfied with this. Though it did show up much bigger than I expected on PaperDemon's website. I will need to shrink the canvas size for next time.

My last attack for the year, a revenge for Nikolai_ of their Hunger Games OC Blythe Banesberry. I can't keep up anymore; I still have a long list of attacks I wasn't able to get to. Next year I might have to stop revenging friendly fire, or maybe stop carrying unfinished revenges over. We'll see.

Finally got through this attack. This is Ozmazeu's Setsuka and his uncle Ienatsu, the first attack from my actual hitlist. I thought it would be simple, but it ended up taking a lot of time, on top of being on vacation. I'm very happy with how the tree turned out, though. Not sure if I'll be able to get to the rest of my hitlist with the number of revenges I have, though.

After years of putting off this design and attempting to pawn it off in Art Fight minigames, I finally had to give in and design this guy myself. Even have a backup outfit for him if I ever need it. At least I can finally make some progress on all the ideas with him and the Journalist I've been holding off on due to the tiny problem of the Storyteller having absolutely no design.

My part of an Art Fight Design for the Person Above You game, a Strawberry Shortcake character in the style of the original 80s dolls for Knightlies. I had a lot of those dolls as a kid, so this was extremely nostalgic. I decided to go with boba tea when I realized it was invented in the 80s, and the purple taro boba made for the perfect colorful palette. For authenticity purposes, I pretended she would have been released with the international line as a Taiwanese doll, and I took my inspiration from there for her outfit and pet, Taro Bearo.

Finally getting back around to this D&D character. This design process got me crying to the Art Fight board for help, but I got there in the end. Callahan is where Howl meets Radagast meets a pride parade. This campaign hasn't begun yet, but I wanted to use him as my character on PaperDemon, so I had to finish his design.

Struggled with the composition and ended up completely departing from my original idea, but we got somewhere in the end. Just in time for me to put art to the side for a bit and focus on my renaissance festival costume. I'm making something loosely inspired by the Journalist, though I'm realizing I'm adding way too many layers for summer southern weather.

I really crammed a lot of doodles onto the page this time. I should probably tone it down to keep the canvas looking nice or no one will click on it. But I had so many ideas. This all started because I wanted to draw Zhihao running track, and then I just kept adding little memories and then I wanted to fit in all of the main four. Fun fact, the sassy crayon line is a real family quote.

I have been working on this for two months and I hate myself. But it's finally done! Now I will never draw again. Just kidding, but I did expect this to take a couple weeks at most and I'm thoroughly sick of it at this point. Very glad to have this off my plate, but happy that I stuck with it all the way through.

Finally got around to making a reference sheet for him. I had to actually color him in for the first time. Can't wait to get back to black and white and not have to worry about color theory. At least I can finally finish his Art Fight page! Almost saved over my No Sleep November sketches when I was doing this because I drew it on the same document, but luckily I found a way to revert to an old save and recovered them.
